Thank you Woolworths and Junior Landcare

We are proud to announce that we have been successful with our application for a 2021 Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant for our garden project! We were also lucky enough to be granted the extra bee bonus funding— We are looking to purchase some Native Bees into our preschool. These native bees are stingless and will assist our garden to flourish, as the bees pollinate our herbs and vegetables. 
 
Our Sea Dragon and Rainbow children cannot wait to get their hands dirty. They will use the water that we collect in our rain water tank, to water the plants. They are excited to harvest our vegetable produce and look forward to cooking with the produce and sharing the produce with their families. 
 
Arncliffe Preschool is one of 1,609 primary schools and early learning centres throughout Australia receiving a Woolworths Junior Landcare grant to help grow our next generation of environmental champions.
 
The grants are being funded with a 10c contribution from each sale of the Woolworths Bag for Good at full price, which was launched in 2018 when Woolworths went single-use plastic bag free.
 
The children and teachers are looking forward to working and learning from this project and we’ll keep you updated on the results.
